For publishers
GpodzBot
GpodzBot reads the headline feeds and news sitemaps that publishers offer, so our assistant can point people to your reporting with your name and a link.
What it collects
- The headline, the publisher name, the link, and the time it was published.
- Nothing else: no article text, summaries, or images.
- Headlines are kept for about 48 hours, then deleted.
How we use it
- We show the headline with your name and a plain link to your page, so readers go to you.
- Links go to your page as you serve it. We add no tracking parameters, never frame your page, and never get around a paywall.
- We do not train models on your headlines or your articles.
How it behaves
- It identifies itself as GpodzBot in its user agent, with a link to this page.
- It follows your robots rules for its name, reads only the feeds and sitemaps you publish, and fetches at a modest rate.
How to limit or stop it
Add these lines to your robots.txt to stop GpodzBot on your whole site:
User-agent: GpodzBot
Disallow: /Or email team@gpodz.com with your domain. We stop collecting and remove your headlines.
